2008 China Open in Beijing - 2008/03/03 09:04
My name is Jason and I am writing from Beijing. We here in Beijing are currently organizing what we are calling the "2008 China Open". It will be an Ultimate tournament (May 31&June1, 2008) where the primary focus is on the participation of Chinese nationals. The other objective is to try and bring together all of the groups that are active in the sport of Ultimate around China.
There are a surprising number of small programs starting up at universities around China. Kunming, Shenzhen, Xian. Everytime that we turn around there seems to be another group starting up. So this will hopefully be a chance to bring them all together. In addition, expat teams from Shanghai and Beijing will be in attendance.
I know that it is a real long shot to have a team from Taiwan come all the way to Beijing for this tournament. I understand that it would require a trip through Hong Kong. But I want you to also know that it would be really great to have Taiwan come.
