Whisby and MamaHuhu Have a Blast in Singapore 2002 September 21-22, 2002 It was the best of times and the worst of times. But most importantly, everyone had a good time. Renegade Province sent two teams to the 2002 Singapore "Flying Mooncake" Ultimate Tournament, the largest Ultimate tourney in Asia thus far.
Team "Whisby," the Renegader's A pool team, faced stiff competition in their battles on Singapore turf. The defining moment was when the Renegades from Taiwan went up against team Hong Kong. The fact that there was a former Renegader on that team didn't lessen the tension nor level of competition during that match. What started out to be an apparent easy win ended up to be a tooth and nail fight to the end with a disappointing loss 9-10. Whisby came in overall in 3rd place in the tournament. "MamaHuhu," Renegade Province's C Pool team, managed to win four of their five games, placing 8th overall out of the 18 teams that competed. Not bad, after having been seeded 15th at the beginning of the tournament.
