By Hy Carrel This is a big deal. We are having a co-ed hat tournament. Unlike most hat tournaments where names are put in a hat and teams are drawn randomly, part of this tournament is the Ultimate tradition of wearing a skirt. That's right guys, ask your wives, girlfriends, etc. for the prettiest skirt that they!|ll let you lay out in.
Please show up at 1:00PM sharp at Yong Fu Park. Games will begin at 1:30PM and last until the sun goes down. Please bring a RED and a WHITE shirt. Renegade Province team jerseys will be on sale at the tournament. The entrance fee is $150 NT per player, which will include bread, bananas and water for everyone, as well as ice-cold beer for the winning team. Please bring plenty of your own water because it will be hot. On the note of heat, we will have a tent available to provide shade, but please bring your own if you have one. Please email me at carrel at gmail.com to register for the tournament. You may also register with Josh or Terry this Sunday (July 18th). The registration deadline is 12 noon on Saturday, July 24th. After this time, space on a team cannot be guaranteed, but if you show up we will try to help you anyways. This is a fun tournament: Beginners, Young Eagles, and others are especially encouraged to play. In your registration email, please include. 1. Your Name 2. Your Skill Level (1,2,3,4, 5) Skill level 1 = "I am still learning the game." Skill level 2 = "I am comfortable throwing my backhand, but I try to avoid my forehand." Skill level 3 = "I'm a solid player having forehand and backhand." Skill level 4 = "I have the throws and know the game." Skill level 5 = "I can lead my team, with hot D and strong throws." 3. Your gender, to help us make gender even teams. Registration is your commitment to come on Sunday to play. If you are not sure that you are able to come on Sunday, please send an email to that effect. If you have any questions, please send those as well. We will make sure that the fields are well marked and well mown. You need to bring your energy. Thrift shops may be a better option than a borrowed skirt, if people have ideas of shops, please post them. |
